A burglar in St. Cloud, Minn. didn’t exactly streak down the street, but he was clad with only the bare minimum, police said.

The suspect left his shoes and “numerous clothing articles” behind and was wearing only a T-shirt and boxer briefs when he ran from a residence on the 800 block of Pebble Creek Drive, police said.

The burglar was inside the house around 8 p.m. Monday when a father and son arrived to find him taking items from the house. They confronted the man and a physical altercation ensued. Several items of clothing were torn off during the struggle in which the suspect received a cut to the left temple area, police said. Witness told police the suspect wasn’t wearing much when he ran northeast from the residence.

Police dogs tracked the suspect’s scent to an adjacent street where it is believed he entered a vehicle and drove off.

He is described as a man with a dark complexion of an unknown race and in his early 20s. He is about 5 feet 7 inches with a heavier build, has dark hair and a goatee, police said.

A second suspect who was in the house also got away. He is described as a white male in his early 20s. He stands about 5 feet 10 inches with a medium build and a blonde beard.

The homeowners were treated at St. Cloud Hospital for minor injuries and then released, police said.

Anybody with information can call St. Cloud Police at 1-320-251-1200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-320-255-1301.

Holy Moly! It seems like it has been four score since I have been in and about the online world. I wish I could say that I have tons of exciting news to inform you all, but alas, I do not.

Here is what I have been up to:

My job.

That's about it folks. I started my job last month at a residential facility for juvinile boys. I Love It! It is extremely busy though. I have about 25 families on my case load, which is HUGE. At the hospital I had a max of 8. This is the main reason as to why I have been extremely lame and MIA. The boys keep me young, though. They are a bunch of 'Gems,' as I like to call them. It is never a dull moment.

On a side note, I also have some boy business, but in all honesty when do I not have boy business. Things are going slow, which is good and bad. He works at the hospital that I worked at this summer, which means he is still there and I am not. The long distance thing sucks, and I have only seen him once since I left the hospital. Who knows where things will lead to... It is also drama-filled with another boy from the hospital, who I was (in a sense) with last year, trying to muck things up for me. I'm certain he was sent here to make my life more dramatic. Typical.

So, that's the life of Cez, thus far. I'm sorry I haven't been around much. I really do miss you all very very much. The DoJ is such a good thing in mind and spirit.

I hope you are all doing well. Don't give up hope on me just yet. I'm working really hard on getting things back in order, so I can start to have a normal life once again. Take care!

Hey Buzznet Peeps,

I just want you all to know if you have seen CNN or looked onto Yahoo News, that yes a very popular bridge on a very popular road during rush hour has collapsed in the Mississippi River in Minneapolis. First, obviously I am ok. Second, this is a huge tragedy for Minnesota, so please keep us in your thoughts/prayers.

Here is the story:

I-35W bridge collapses

Star Tribune staff

Last update: August 01, 2007 – 8:05 PM

The Interstate Hwy. 35W bridge over the Mississippi River collapsed during the evening rush hour Wednesday, dumping an estimated 50 vehicles into the water and onto the land below, creating a horrific scene of damage, fire, smoke, injuries, frantic rescuers and bloody, terrified motorists.

It was not clear how many people might have been hurt or killed, but witnesses said at least 20 cars were involved. As of 7:30, one construction worker was unaccounted for and three injured. Rescuers rushed to help people escape cars trapped in the V where the bridge had caved in. Many vehicles, including at least one semitractor trailer, were on fire. People were also reportedly floundering in the river.

The crumpled wreckage of the bridge lay on the east bank of the river, and a huge section of concrete roadway lay on the west bank. Down below in the river gorge, rescue workers scrambled to help people on the roadway that now lay in the gorge. Fire and black smoke rose from the wreckage. Workers had been repairing the 40-year-old bridge’s surface as part of improvements along that stretch of the interstate.

Officials set up a triage center for some of the injured at the American Red Cross office a block from the bridge, said Red Cross spokeswoman Tammy Nystuen.

“I know that at least some of the kids from the school bus are there. I don’t know where they’re from or if anybody is badly hurt,” she said. The building is at 1201 West River Parkway.

Paul McCabe, spokesman for the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Minneapolis, said the FBI has responed to the collapsed bridge to offer assistance and conduct any investigation that proves necessary. But he said there was "no reason at this time to believe there's any nexus to terrorism."

Berndt Toivonen, 51, of Minneapolis, was on his way home from a painting job when it collapsed beneath his car.

“The bridge started to buckle,” he said. “It went up and it came down. I thought I was gonna die.” His Ford Explorer rolled backwards about 50 feet, and he hit the brakes. He was uninjured, but all around him people were screaming from their cars, some with injuries. He went from vehicle to vehicle helping people out.

Four cars were submerged in the river upstream of the bridge and a rescue worker waded in the water searching for survivors. On the east bank, only a small section of the bridge support was still standing, and it was creaking as rescue workers carried out the injured.

People nearby said they heard a sound like an earthquake or a plane crash, and the collapse set off alarms in the nearby Stone Arch Apartments.

“It just came down, a crash, smoke everywhere... A whole bunch of people were screaming, people were trapped in their cars,’’ said Ross MacMillan, 39, who had just driven under the bridge on 2nd Street.

Sarah Fahnhorst, who was in her apartment a block away from the bridge, heard a huge thud and then “the entire building shook” as the bridge fell.

“It shook the ground,” she said.

Dayna Wolfe, who lives near the Stone Arch Bridge, heard the collapse and came out on her bicycle to see what had happened. Wolfe, a physician and physical therapist, said she is certain that many people had been killed or were trapped in their cars. She said the scene was worse than any of the many earthquakes she had survived in California.

“This is the kind of stuff you see with gigantic earthquakes,” she said. “You don’t see this kind of thing in Minnesota.”

Ramon Houge of St. Paul was on his way home from work and was on the bridge when he heard a rumbling noise and cars in front of him began to go down. He said cars that could backed up to a construction zone and was finally able to turn around and drive off the bridge. “It didn’t seem like it was real,” he said.

Traffic was bumper to bumper and hundreds of people would have been involved, he said, adding that he saw kids get off a crashed bus on the bridge with blood on their faces.

A school bus, filled with 60 children, ages 5 to 17, returning from a daycamp was on the bridge when it collapsed, injuring at least two children and two adults seriously, according to one of the children.

“We collapsed,” said Ryan Watkins. He said the bus bounced twice and then stopped. He and others escaped out the rear door of the bus because the front door was wedged against a concrete traffic barrier. The kids were returning from a day of swimming at Bunker Beach, said Watkins. They are members of the Waite House summer program based in Minneapolis.

Marcelo Cruz, 26, of Crystal, who has used a wheelchair since being paralyzed in a shooting in South Carolina several years ago, was driving his van across the bridge toward downtown when he felt it began to wave up and down. He steered into the concrete railing to stop himself from driving into the river, and saw many cars on the bridge fall into the water.

His van came to rest steeply inclined toward the river and several onlookers ran and told him to get out. He said he needed help and the onlookers carried him out of his van in his wheelchair to safety on the riverbank.

“I’m lucky to be alive,” he said over and over again.

Gary Babineau, 24, of Blaine, was headed northbound on 35W when the bridge gave way.

“I can’t believe I’m alive,” he said. “I saw a couple of cars go down completely,” he said. “It just totally collapsed.”

There was a school bus next to him and there were a lot of kids inside, he said. A lot of them were bleeding and he helped them come up to safety. A lot of the children were taken away by ambulance, he said.

“My truck got cut into two pieces,” said Babineau, who was bleeding from his nose.

Jay Danz, 45, of St. Paul was driving to the Twins game and took W. River Parkway under the bridge just before it collapsed.

“I heard it creaking and making all sorts of noise it shouldn’t make,” he said. “And then the bridge just started to fall apart.”

Danz said he was just five feet past the bridge when it collapsed behind him. Twisted green girders lay on the ground behind him.

He got out of his car and saw a school bus full of kids sitting askew on the collapsed road above him. He scrambled up a hill to help kids get off the bus.

“Some kids had blood on their faces, but thank God, everybody could move,” Danz said. “Every seemed OK.”

There were cars behind him on River Pkwy., but Danz said they were far enough behind that he didn’t think they were under the bridge when it fell.

John Joachim of Taylors Falls took 35W to the Twins game and said traffic suddenly “slammed to a stop” he neared University Avenue.

“I didn’t know what was going on but a huge cloud of dust rose in front of us,” he said.

Louis Rogers, 28, of Roseville was driving home from work listening to music in his Chevy Blazer when the bridge gave way just feet in front of him.

“It just disappeared; it made no sound whatsoever,” he said. “It was pretty much like a thud, not too loud of a thud. The next thing I know, cars were dropping and there was smoke. My car was no more than five feet from the edge.”

Rogers tried to help some of the people in cars that had fallen into the river and stopped on the bridge. “I saw a lady in a car and I screamed, but I got no response,” he said. “I grabbed my bag and started signalling cars to get out of there.”

Ryan Murphey, , 30, Minneapolis, went to the scene to see if he could help out.

“It looked a terrorist attack, a complete catastrophe,” Murphey said. “But everyone there was very calm and organized.” He helped remove two victims frmo the east side of the bridge on stretchers, including a woman in her late 50s with a “bloody face.” Jane Marshall, 27, of Minneapolis, and her sister were behind Rogers on the highway and were on their way to the Twins game. They were driving toward the bridge when it collapsed.

“I still can’t believe it,” she said an hour after the bridge collapsed. “We were so close. If we hadn’t stopped to get gas, it might have been us there.”

The two called their parents right away to let them know they were OK. “We’re not sure if we’re going to the game or not,” Marshall said. “It just hit us -- we could have died.”

The Twins decided to play Wednesday night’s game, but only after the public address announcer alerted the crowd at 7:08 p.m. of the bridge’s collapse. A moment of prayer followed. It was then announced that the game would go on so emergency crews could perform their duties without the added pressure of having 20,000 to 25,000 people scrambling in swarms from the Dome area.

Amidst the rescue efforts, the Minnesota State Patrol said at 7 p.m. that the cause of the bridge collapse remained undetermined.

Traffic was being stopped at University Avenue from the North and Washington Avenue from the south. The State Patrol was setting up a command post.

The arched bridge had risen about 64 feet above the river before its collapse at the end of rush hour, when cars were bumper to bumper in traffic. Area law enforcement, including the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office, had launched at least three boats to help with the rescues.

Stayin' Alive

Hey There Everyone!

I just wanted to give you all a post to let you all know that I am still living...barely...and thinking of all of you!

My job at the Crazy Hospital is almost up, and I know I am going to miss it so. I absolutely love working with all those kids! I mainly work with the younger boys and they are all just so sweet. I walk onto the unit and get to hear them yell my name asking to meet with me. It's overly cute. Seeing their smiling faces every morning makes all the heart ache and emotionally draining circumstances of this work all worth while. I'm sure they have no idea, but they keep me going.

The past couple of weeks have been super busy! I had the pleasure of spending an entire weekend with my sister and dear friends. It was the most I had laughed in a long while and definitely very needed.

We went to a Quietdrive show at First Avenue in Minneapolis. This was the most packed I have seen First Ave in my entire life. My sister had even made the comment that The Quest wasn't even this packed when FOB used to play there years and years ago...that's how old I am girls.

After leaving First Ave we stumbled downtown Minneapolis looking to create chaos as we usually do in our spare time. On the way to Old Chicago, there was a random show on the sidewalk with no one in sight walking with only one shoe. The time old question comes to mind, "How does one loose a shoe?" I haven't quite fitured that one out yet.

We then proceeded on our way to The Lodge where we drank and sang along to a cover band. Very very fun. It was much much needed.

The next day after a successful day of shopping. We went to a St. Paul Saints minor league baseball game. It was a georgeous day and there was cold beer. What more could one ask for?

We then went back to my BFF's house and drank A LOT of beer, watched Eurotrip, charged 30 bucks worth of pizza to her exhusband's credit card, and belted out Meatloaf. Yeah. Do we know how to party or what?

That's my sister singing Two Out Of Three Aint Bad...

So, after much debate we decided to walk down the streat to this random bar called Deans. We walked in and there were about 5 people in there and we felt extremely at home since we are all from a very small hick town. We plopped out butts down, started playing the Juke Box and the touch screen game. SB's BF came to pick our drunk-asses up because drinking and driving is BAD. For some reason we thought it would be a good idea to have a photo session while the DD got gasoline. I can't really explain what my two friends are doing in the picture, but I think it is safe to say that a picture is worth a thousand words.

Surprisingly we woke up from that drinking extravaganza feeling like Rock Stars! Later that week my sister and I got phenomenal tickets to the TWINS game for FREE! I was super excited! We had so much fun. They unfortunately lost, but I got to see JB and his butt and that made all feelings of sadness wash away.

So as you all can see, I'm still alive, but not giving myself much time to just sit and...well...sit. I hope none of you have given up hope on me. I'm still here and once life slows down slightly I will be making my appearance more apparent. I promise. I think of you DOJ girls all the time and truly love to see your updates on Buzznet. You are all very crazy in your own special way. That may be why I am overly attracted to each and every one of you!

Miss you all very much!
Smooches x Twenty-millionty
CeCe

I celebrated my brithday (and I still am, but that's another posting for another time) at the Honda Civic Tour with some FAB friends and FAB bands.

My day started out by getting a fucking amazing parking spot for only 6.50 ALL DAY! It was phenomenal!

My day then continued on at the Hard Rock for some cappy food, but some awesome shots. My friend Ang, her boy Kyle, and our other not quite straight friend Andrew met us there.

Being that it was my birthday, I got a free t-shirt from JACK 104. I never get free shit! It really was my birthday!

After a 60 dollar bar tab, we left and went to GameWorks which is basically a Chuck E. Cheese for adults being that they serve alcohol there. Yay Alcohol! We played the racing games and I sucked. We played pool and I sucked. We played Air Hockey and I RULED!

Finally we got to the concert and I got to see Cobra Starship from the door of our gate. I love them. Yay Gabe. Then it was Paul Wall. Not my cup of tea. And before every song he would tell us to put a number of fingers in the air. Very odd. I got to shake my booty though and scare thirteen year olds around us, so that was WAY fun! The rest of the group joined us for The Academy Is... and let me just say....HELLO WILLIAM! I was not disappointed by these boys. They were my fav of the warm-up bands...sorry Emma.

We then watched +44, which I liked. It brought me back in time to when I would go to Blink concerts. Travis is still amazing on the drums and Mark sounds much better than what he did before. It made me smile. I got to cuddle up to Andy for a little while before Fall Out Boy came on...he's such a sweetie!

Then the moment of truth: FALL OUT BOY! I agree with Emma for saying that Pete was a little not as hyper through the concert. That was the least I had ever seen him move on stage, ever. But Joe was definitely his wonderful mountain man self. Also, I've never noticed this before, but Patrick tends to sa-shay when he walks. It was quite entertaining for me to watch. I'm not quite sure if anyone else noticed, but I got a giggle. AND Patrick giggled into the mic during one of Pete's little schpeels. It was cute. Oh and the most phenomenal moment of my life was when Patrick started to play "Beat It" by Michael Jackson. I felt old because half of the kids in the venue had NO IDEA what song it was, but I was still jumping around like I was thirteen nonetheless.

The second best part of the concert for me was when Pete decided to do a slide right into Patrick's microphone and knocked it over. Fucking hilarious. It was good humor again for myself. I have no idea if anyone but me and my sister really cared. I thought everyone gave 110% on everything. There were tons of fun 'special effects' and Dirty did some stupid shit! What more could you ask for?

I had a phenomenal birthday and I thought the concert was just as phenomenal! I can't wait to go to another concert, which will be on the 22nd for Quietdrive! Yay!! I hope you enjoyed my little rant on this little concert. And for those of you who have not seen them yet, be prepared to enjoy yourself. It was fun fun fun!

Disheartening

So this past weekend I had a whole slew of my friends over for my anual Cinco de Mayo fest or as some would like to call it: Cinco de Drinko. We all had a ball with the delicious food, drink, and jello shots made my yours truely. Cards were played, lives were caught up on, and friendships were made. Overall it was a great time.

Since I live three blocks away from the bar, we always venture out of the house and down the street to go dancing. This is the bar where my ex used to work, so I am quite familiar with the place and I have always felt more than comfortable with bringing my friends, who come from all over the state, there.

We came in shifts, but soon my party of thirty was filtrated through out the small town bar. I made my rounds, said hi to those that I haven't seen for a while, made sure my guests were comfortable, and got myself some drinks. While sitting at the bar waiting for my pitcher of beer and sitting next to a good friend, he pointed out a group of people across the bar with a distinct SS sketched on their clothing. My friend made the comment about wondering if that symbol was what he thought it was. Striking my curiosity, I asked what he had meant and he explained that was a symbol used by neo-Nazi's. Apparently this symbol held the same symbolism as a swastica.

I looked at my friend in shock. I told him that it couldn't possibly be that. Those people don't congregate in MY small town in MY small town bar. Granted we don't have much diversity, but we don't hate on those who are different. Sadly, I was wrong. I was told that this gang of neo-Nazi's (as my friends liked to call them) have been coming around a lot lately. A couple of them even tried to start a fight with EJ aka my future ex-husband. I even had the pleasure to be talking to the dj when one of the girls in the group came up to him and told him she was sick of hear "this nigger music." I, not being one to be quiet (shocker, I know), looked right at her and stated that I couldn't believe she just said that then turned my back to her blocking her from getting anywhere near the dj. People as ignorant as that don't deserve to have any attention at all.

I felt I had to apologize to my friends about this new development in my town. It makes me very sad to know that in this day and age with as diverse as the United States is now, there are still people like that out there. I know that being from a small town I have been sheltered from this hatred, but I have to say that I am thankful for it. I'm thankful that I was brought up to know that just because someone is different it doesn't mean that they are bad. We are all human and we are all made of the same parts. What is there to hate against? What a complete waste of time.

I am very fortunate to have a very diverse group of friends. I have friends of different races, from different cultures, backgrounds, religions, and even sexual orientations. Each one of them gives me a bright and new outlook on the world and I feel very blessed to have them in my life. It's too bad that the only thing these people will know is the lameness of their morals and actions. They don't know what they are missing out on.

Unfortunately, I will never be able to look at my town the same way again.

Funny Story Actually...

So, I left a review for Alex earlier and I had mentioned something along the lines of Pete's balls, which reminded me of a funny story.

I know what you are all thinking. No, I did not meet Pete Wentz and see his balls or have a discussion about his balls with him. This surprisingly has nothing to do with Pete Wentz but it does have everything to do with Pete and balls.

Are you following??? Good.

So, (quick side note: apparently it is common for Minnesotans to start sentences off with 'So' and I just realized I do it all the time. end side note.) I was out for dinner with my mother, step-father, and his family when for some reason it came up that I always want to call Steve, my mom's husband, by the name of Pete. I wasn't sure why I do this because I don't actually know anyone by the name of Pete. It isn't a name I use often and he doesn't remind me of anyone named Pete. Of course my mom just looked at me like I was crazy. That's nothing new, but Steve's mother said, "My father used to call his bulls Pete."

Now, it may have been that we were in a noisey legion or the fact that I had one too many beers and not too many items of food yet, but I wasn't quite sure if I heard her correctly. I had obviously heard something else.

So, I reply by saying, "His B--," and I paused because I didn't know how to finish. My mom jumps in to save the day and practically yells, "BULLS not BALLS."

At this point in the conversation the 60+ population that normally eats at the American Legion are staring at our table. I simply shrug my shoulders and say, "Just checking."

Thus ends my story of Pete and Balls. Pretty sweet, eh?
